Recognition and classification of emotions based on analyzing text messages

Main objective of this graduation thesis is clarification of informations about human emontions and its recognition and classification on basis of generally known methods. Among generally known methods belongs classification based on mimic and pantomimic expression basis and on voice tone basis. This graduation thesis is primary focused on human emotions recoginition and classification on text messages analysis. Specifically anger and joy. A Czech database in lemma form was crated for this method and it contains emotion functional words. It was made by translation of English emotion functional words and it is divided to emotion key words, emotion modification words and emotion phrases. Also was made special database of neutral words, which are removed from emotions classification except emotion phrases comparation. A degrees were assigned to emotion key words and phrases and this assignment was made by more people. That guarantee better objectivity of the database. Values of single emotion words and phrases might be influenced by emotion modification words, words that contains gradation, negation or punctuation. Output of this graduation thesis is application in JAVA language. That application after insertion input text message compare single words with all available databases and count resultant emotion rate for joy and anger emotions. Evaluation involve also single words, sentences and paragraphs. Application was designed in NetBeans with Swing GUI Builder.
Emotional experience in patients with chronic renal failure

The diploma thesis deals with the emotional experience of patients with chronic renal failure. It aims to explore positive and negative emotional experiences, the presence of depressive and anxiety symptoms, the degree of anger and alexithymia in patients with chronic renal failure undergoing hemodialysis. The theoretical part summarizes previously published theoretical knowledge in this area and the empirical part describes the statistical measurement and comparison of selected variables of emotional experience in the research sample. The theoretical part is divided into 4 chapters, the first of them deals with the medical aspects of chronic renal failure and its treatment. The second chapter deals with the coping with illness, defines psychological aspects of chronic disease and describes the patient's subjective perception of the disease and attitudes towards the disease. The third chapter summarizes the definitions of emotions and emotional experience and defines the most respected theories of emotion. The fourth chapter describes the emotional experiences of illness, factors affecting the emotional experience of illness and deals with depression, anxiety, anger and alexithymia, at the end focuses on current research in this area. Embedded System for Detecting Human Aggression

This bachelor thesis focuses on design and implementation of detection system based on aggresion recognition through combinations of physiological changes such as heart rate, voice intensity and skin resistance. The goal is to implement the system on embedded device and test efficency of such system through an experiment. This paper carries out analysis of individual types and expressions of aggresion, on the basis of which they are then chosen methods of its detection. The final product is then tested using an experiment on a group of voulenteers, who were exposed to various stimuli with the aim of inducing aggressive behavior. The findings may be put to use in the field of aggression prevention and safety protection in various environments as well as medicine.
Sadness, anger, and acadea in Czech translations of apofthegmates and selected contemporary authors

The thesis works with Czech translation of apofthegmats - stories of fathers of desert. The thesis focuses on topic of sadness, anger and acedia. The thesis is based on apofthegmats and on the spirituality of desert. From this point of view the thesis makes analysis of the structure of pastoral work with sadness, anger and acedia. The thesis is following some actual authors who are working with spirituality of desert, too. Due to immanent dimension of spirituality of desert the thesis is reflecting psychological approach and refers to actual psychological methods which help a man to live with sadness, anger and acedia.

Impact of Pain in Patients with Hemophilia on their Emotional Experience and Quality of Life

The Bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of the impact of pain on emotional experience and quality of life in haemophiliac patients and the significance of pain management for nursing practice. The aim of the thesis was to tackle problems concerning the disease in adult haemophiliacs in connection with pain, emotional experience and quality of life, describe relations between these variables and determine the main factors influencing pain and quality of life in haemophiliacs. For that purpose, nine basic hypotheses were set and verified by the means of statistical processing of data obtained from a questionnaire survey of 105 adult haemophiliacs of age among 18 to 79 addressed across the whole Czech Republic. The respondents represented patients of both, A and B haemophilia and of all kinds of haemophilia severity. Four instruments were used to carry out the survey - a standardized questionnaire A36 Hemofilia-QoL for determining quality of life, a standardized questionnaire BDI - II for determining depressive symptoms, a standardized questionnaire GAD 7 for determining the level of anxiety and a visual-analogical scale, so-called Thermometer Scale of Emotions.
